Kendall is from Huntsville, AL, and received her BSN from Samford University in 2018. In 2023,she completed her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Kendall worked as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Trauma ICU at Huntsville Hospital for three and a half years before moving to the Women’s and Children’s preoperative unit in 2022. About Dr. McCall

Dr. McCall specializes in internal medicine as well as hospital medicine, caring for patients here at Innova Primary Care as well as patients at Crestwood Medical Center. She enjoys reading on a variety of topics, listening to an eclectic range of musical tastes, as well as traveling the world. She teaches medical students who are in the process of becoming physicians themselves. She participates in medical mission trips and is especially interested in sea turtle conservation efforts.

Mandy is originally from Brookhaven, MS; however, as a Navy spouse, Mandy has lived and worked in several states. Mandy has over 24 years of experience in the medical field, including as a Cardiac Stress Technician at Albuquerque Presbyterian, a Medical Assistant at Yale Digestive Diseases, and a Patient Services Technician at LabCorps. Mandy moved to Huntsville in 2019 and joined the Innova team in 2023. As Lab Lead, Mandy is responsible for operating and maintaining the lab equipment necessary for patient lab testing and is responsible for phlebotomist training, processes, and procedures at both offices.

Brittney is originally from Scottsboro, Alabama but moved closer to Huntsville several years ago. Brittney joined the Innova team in 2015 and has led the Innova team forward at the Chateau Drive location as well as our expansion to Madison. Once you have added your name and submitted the form on this page, your name will be added to our list to receive an email invitation to begin the new patient enrollment process on our next pre-registration date!

On the new patient pre-registration date, you will receive an email inviting you to pre-register to be a new patient at Innova Primary Care. Once you have completed the information requested, we are typically able to process your pre-registration within 3 business days.
You will receive a “Welcome New Patient” email to the email address you have submitted on your pre-registration with instructions to complete your medical history questionnaire on your patient portal.
Once we receive your medical history questionnaire, you will receive a portal message, typically within 1 business day, with a link to click on to schedule a good day and time for us to call you to finish your new patient registration. During the phone call we will get your insurance information and go over our Innova Relationship Agreement and put a payment method on file for you.

About

Dr. Bowers grew up in Madison and is a graduate of Bob Jones High School. She went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for undergraduate degrees in Biology and Spanish and then to UAB for medical school. She graduated from UAB Huntsville’s Family Medicine Residency and completed a fellowship in Family Medicine Obstetrics from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, going to local events, and attending her home church. She is excited to return home to Madison and join the Innova Primary Care team!

About Dr. Donahue

Dr. Donahue grew up in Harvest, AL and specializes in Family Medicine. Dr. Donahue prioritizes empathy in his care of patients as well as developing long term relationships with his patients. He chose to specialize in Family Medicine because he wanted to be able to help the broadest range of people while developing long term trusting relationships with his patients.

He went to medical school at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He completed his residency training at UAB in Huntsville. He is married to Jessica, who is a first grade teacher. They enjoy reading, hiking, board games (some of his favorites are Dominion and Spirit Island), and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Donahue and Jessica have a little dog, Ellie, who is as cute as she is dumb.They are both very excited to be back in the Huntsville area.

About Our Medical Director

Dr. Brooke Uptagrafft grew up here in Huntsville and returned home to her home in 2011 to open her primary care practice. Dr Uptagrafft graduated from Grissom High School, then Mississippi State University and received her medical degree from The University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). She completed her residency at St Vincent’s East specializing in Family Medicine. She operates Innova Primary Care alongside her team of Doctors and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners (CRNP) with the goal of mending patients and mending standards in our community.

Dr. Brooke and her team work together with our patients on the following:

Julie is originally from Toledo Ohio. As the only northern-born member of her family, she returned to the southern fold to study at Clemson University, eventually settling in Huntsville. Julie joined the team in 2022. As Clinic Support Lead, she facilitates information services, such as appointments, referrals and prescription communication.

Personal interests:

Outside of work, Julie enjoys painting and the fiber arts. She also belongs to three lovely cats.

What to Expect Next

Once you have added your name and submitted the form on this page, your name will be added to our list to receive an email invitation to begin the new patient enrollment process when we resume accepting new patients.

On the new patient pre-registration date, you will receive an email inviting you to pre-register to be a new patient at Innova Primary Care. Once you have completed the information requested, we are typically able to process your pre-registration within 3 business days.
You will receive a “Welcome New Patient” email to the email address you have submitted on your pre-registration with instructions to complete your medical history questionnaire on your patient portal.
Once we receive your medical history questionnaire, you will receive a portal message, typically within 1 business day, with a link to click on to schedule a good day and time for us to call you to finish your new patient registration. During the phone call we will get your insurance information and go over our Innova Relationship Agreement and put a payment method on file for you.

Please remember to bring your photo ID and insurance card to your new patient appointment so we can scan them into our system. The only paperwork you will need to complete at the office will be your HIPAA form and a medical records request if we need to receive any records from prior physicians.
